![]() ![]() Like Faelan losing his mind for a moment and going to town on Brie ( which ultimately they both enjoyed ) instead of a subtle feather. Maybe a shocking mix up could have ignited some sizzle …. Of course it was great to see other old friends pop in even if their exchanges with Brie were subtle. It’s become ‘out of character’ for him to act like that. The only sizzle that came out of nowhere was a quickie before the parents arrived and that shocked me that Sir did that. ![]() I understand that characters grow and evolve … but these two are turning into a typical suburban couple. Sir ( as much as it pains me to admit ) has gone soft and the sexy Dom has clearly gone holidaying in Ibiza !! Even his way with words is starting to get □, and therefore Bries character is changing too. What used to be a spicy series that you read in the privacy of your home where you could squeeze your thighs together, now can be read on a crowded train knowing people are looking over your shoulder. Which is perfectly fine considering how many books have made the series and what an amazing journey we’ve all been on with Brie. I don’t know if the author is realising there’s not too much left in this series going forward …. ![]() It pains me to only give this 3 stars, but I have to be truthful. This is what the last book promised ….I still have my breath and what fireworks !!!!! ![]() ![]() ![]() After Bond passes these tests, Walker consults a superior, his comments revealing that for several months the Ministry believed Bond was deceased. Publishers Jonathan Cape passed the manuscript to Kingsley Amis for his thoughts and advice on the story, although none of his suggestions were subsequently used.Ī telephone operator at MI6 takes a telephone call from a man claiming to be James Bond, they forward it to Captain Walker, who tests Bond's claims of identity. Much of the detail contained in the previous novels was missing, as this was often added by Fleming in the second draft. The first draft and part of the editing process was completed before Fleming's death and the manuscript had passed through the hands of his copy editor, William Plomer, but it was not as polished as other Bond stories. Despite that, the book was a best-seller. ![]() ![]() ![]() The novel was not as detailed or polished as the others in the series leading to poor, but polite, reviews. It was first published by Jonathan Cape in the UK on 1 April 1965, eight months after the author's death. The Man with the Golden Gun is the thirteenth book of Ian Fleming's James Bond series. ![]() ![]() ![]() The novel reads super quick and one of the things I truly appreciated was the lack of sex for a large portion of the novel. ![]() There’s even a life-saving swoon-worthy moment with longing gazes on the unconscious rescued in the hospital. From drunken confessions to a porn site that thrives on blue-collar working “straight” men stripping off and getting off on camera, needless to say things get pretty hot and steamy throughout the novel. Over the course of the novel there are various plot devices which move the story forward. Long story short Griff has realized he is gay and has started to fall for Dante. They grew up together, survived 9/11 and are now facing the aftermath of everything that happened. Hot Head tells the story of Griff, a buff red-headed (probably Irish) NYC fireman, and his best friend Dante, a smaller but still buff Italian American fireman.
